Five Elements Theory in Chinese Astrology and Five Chinese Elements
Chinese astrology is built around the cycles of the moon, the year you were born, your Chinese element and the masculine (yin) or feminine (yang) energy of the year you were born. The five elements, factored into the best horoscopes, further refine the Chinese Zodiac year and definitely influence your predictions, as does the yin/yang energy. Chinese astrology flows from five element philosophy. Five Element Theory has the same 5 Chinese astrological elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. These change in a ten year cycle. Every two consecutive years is governed by an element. There are five elements in all x 12 signs x 2 (feminine yin or masculine yang) so you may see 120 different Chinese horoscope forecasts and astrology predictions! For example, August 30, 1969 fell in the year of the Rooster and during an Earth year with Yang energy so that makes someone born on that day a male earth rooster.
